Newspaper Notices

Prior to January 12, 2024, Federal agencies were required to publish a newspaper notice prior to disposition of human remains or cultural items removed from Federal lands. This table shows the Federal agency publishing the notice and information on the publication of the notice.

This table can be filtered to show only a specific Federal agency or a specific state. The search function applies to all available fields in the table. The buttons provide different formats for downloading the data. The table can be sorted by any field by clicking on the header.

*Note that after January 12, 2024, notices of intended disposition are published in the Federal Register and can be found in a separate table.
